Woodruff St. images

These images were provided by Ed Lybarger, and were taken by a City of Pittsburgh photographer. The area looked considerably different (except the last photo!) than it does now.
And this one was provided by Bob Dietrich, who says: In 1929 Route 33 still climbed Woodruff and continued up Virginia Avenue where it connected into Shiloh Street trackage on the way to the Junction. The line continued up the hill to the top of the Castle Shannon Incline, you can just make out the crossing. My original picture is poor but the overhead appears to still be in place indicating route 33 is still operational. (JPG)
